ok im back, so we so the norman mclaren short and i thought that it had a real disney-esque feel like in fantasia or something i particularly like when the music was a strings segment that the drawings (etchings) were straight lines. it brings up images of water drops landing and cueing music to their pattern of falling. i have seen jan svankmeyer's stuff before in a class with william verrone called visionaries and iconoclasts and the tediousness of his work habits and ideas, pretty amazing stuff. he did alice in wonderland and it is wild he did many films and they are all tripped out. see you next blog.
